Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup water
  • 4-½ oz. (1 cup) all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 6 cups blackberries
  • 2 Tbs. sugar
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • 1 Tbs. sugar mixed with ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
    • 2 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted
    • Vanilla ice cream for garnish (optional)
    • ½ cup buttermilk; more as needed
    • 1 tsp. baking powder
    • 1 Tbs. grated lemon zest
