Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon almond extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 6 tablespoons sliced almonds
    • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 1 large egg yolk
    • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
    • 4 1/2-pint baskets fresh blueberries
    • ½ cup red currant jelly

Combine 2 baskets berries, sugar, and lemon juice in heavy medium saucepan. Coarsely mash berries. Stir over medium-high heat until sugar dissolves and mixture boils and thickens, about 7 minutes.
