Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon brandy or cognac
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 6 garlic cloves, halved
  • 12 (1-ounce) slices diagonally cut French bread (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup (about 1 1/2 ounces) crumbled Gorgonzola cheese

    • 3 Granny Smith apples, each cut into 8 wedges (about 18 ounces)
