Butter-Toasted Croutons


  • 4 slices bread, crust removed
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup butter or margarine
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Cut bread slices into 3/s-inch cubes. Combine oil, butter, and garlic in a small skillet; place over medium heat. Drop bread cubes into hot oil mixture, and cook, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned. Remove with a slotted spoon; drain.
