Buttermilk Cake


  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2/3 cup sugar plus more for sprinkling
  • ¼ cup butter at room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
    • ½ cup buttermilk
