  • 9 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons golden brown sugar
  • 3 large Golden Delicious apples
  • 1 cup plain whole-milk yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • + 9 more ingredients
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 cup all purpose flour
    • unsalted butter
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • pure maple syrup
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 1 ½ tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 1 large egg

Melt butter in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add apples and 1 tablespoon maple syrup; sauté until apples are tender, about 5 minutes.
