Butternut Squash Bread Pudding with Tres Leches Sauce

- ½ cup granulated sugar
- Butter for pan
- 5 large eggs
- 1 butternut squash (about 2 lbs.)
- ¼ teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
- ½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
