Butterscotch Brittle

Ingredients

  • 2 cup(s) Dark Karo Syrup
  • 1 cup(s) Black Walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon(s) vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 3 cup(s) brown sugar
  • 1 cup(s) butter

In a heavy sauce pan combined all ingredients. Cook until it reaches a hard boil stage (about 310° on a candy thermometer). Butter a cookies sheet filled with assorted nuts. Pour hot mixture over nuts and cool. No Peanuts!
