Butterscotch Ice Cream Topping


  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter

1 Combine the sugar and water in a medium saucepan. 2 Cook over high heat until the mixture is a light golden brown in color. 3 Remove from heat. 4 Add the cream and stir until smooth. 5 Add the butter 1 tablespoon at a time. 6 Blend well. 7 Can be reheated.
