Cabbage Pierogi

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • ½ stick unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese
  • 10 pounds green cabbage, trimmed and cored
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 4 ½ to 5 cups flour
    • 3 tablespoons sour cream

1. Cut the cabbages into quarters. Steam until very tender, approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Drain and cool.
