  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs plus 3 egg whites
  • 2 (12 oz.) cans evaporated milk
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • Simmering water, for water bath
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

Preheat oven to 325°F. In a small, heavy saucepan, stir together sugar and 5 Tbsp. water; bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
