Ingredients

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 10 tablespoons sugar
  • Lightly sweetened whipped cream
  • ½ cup sugar
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
    • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
    • 6 Pippin or Golden Delicious apples

Whisk first 6 ingredients in medium bowl to blend. Add butter and rub in with fingertips until small moist clumps form. DO AHEAD: Can be made 1 day ahead. Cover and chill. Preheat oven to 375°F.
