Caramel Apples or Pretzel Rods


  • 1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk (14 oz. can)
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 1 cup(s) light corn syrup
  • 2 cup(s) brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup(s) butter
  • 14 Apples (small)

Melt butter; stir in sugar, corn syrup and dash of salt. Mix well. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. stir in milk. Cook, stirring, to 245°, about 12-15 minutes.
