Caramel Nut Brownie Cups

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon salt

    • ¼ cup light corn syrup
    • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • ¾ cup sugar
    • 6 ounces fine-quality bittersweet chocolate (not unsweetened)

Preheat oven to 350°F. In a shallow baking pan toast almonds in one layer in middle of oven until fragrant, about 12 minutes, and cool.
