Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 pound onions
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon Sherry wine vinegar
  • Semolina flour (pasta flour) or cornmeal
  • 1 large egg
  • 14 tablespoons all purpose flour

    • 1 teaspoon honey
    • ½ cup crème fraîche
    • 5 tablespoons water
    • ¾ teaspoon nigella (kalonji) seeds
    • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
    • 2 tablespoons fresh chives
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
    • ¾ teaspoon active dry yeast
    • ½ teaspoon salt
