  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 10 cup thinly sliced sweet onion (about 4 large)
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add sugar to pan; cook 1 minute or until sugar dissolves. Add onion and garlic to pan.
