Caramelized Pistachio, Walnut, and Almond Tart

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 1 ¾ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup whipping cream (do not use heavy whipping cream)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ¼ cup golden brown sugar
  • + 8 more ingredients
    • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
    • ¾ cup sliced almonds
    • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
    • 1 ½ teaspoons rose water
    • ¾ cup shelled unsalted natural pistachios
    • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
    • ¼ cup forest honey or other honey
    • 10 tablespoons unsalted butter

Blend flour, powdered sugar, salt, and ground cloves in processor. Add butter and orange peel. Using on/off turns, process until mixture resembles coarse meal.
