Ingredients

  • ½ to 3/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour (about 10 1/2 ounces), divided
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted, divided
  • ½ cup reduced-fat sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated lime rind
  • Glaze:

    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 package dry yeast (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
    • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ¼ cup butter, melted
    • Dough:
    • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
    • ¾ teaspoon salt
    • Filling:
    • ½ cup packed brown sugar
    • Cooking spray
    • ¼ cup warm water (100° to 110°)

To prepare dough, dissolve yeast in warm water in a small bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Combine sour cream and next 5 ingredients (through egg) in a large bowl, stirring until well blended.
