Cauliflower and Carrot Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ¾ cup coarsely crushed buttery round crackers
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 egg yolks
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 4 medium carrots, peeled and diagonally sliced
    • 1 head cauliflower, broken into small florets
