Cheese Tortellini with Sausage and Peppers


  • 12 ounces dried or 16 ounces fresh cheese-filled tortellini or ravioli, or spinach agnolotti
  • 1 medium green sweet pepper, cut into ½-inch pieces
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons snipped fresh parsley
  • ¼ cup dry red wine
  • ¼ cup tomato paste
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • 28-ounce can whole Italian-style tomatoes, cut up
    • 2 teaspoons olive oil or cooking oil
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 cup chopped onion
    • 1 cup water
    • 12 ounces fresh sweet italian sausage links

In a large skillet combine sausage links and water. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes, or till juices run clear. Drain off water.
