  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 (12 oz.) package frozen pitted black cherries, thawed
  • 1 yolk of a large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • Pinch of salt
    • 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar, optional

Preheat oven to 425°F. Butter a 9-inch pie plate. Drain cherries; sprinkle with 1 Tbsp. sugar. Whisk eggs and yolk together in a large bowl until blended.
