Cherry Upside-Down Cake Recipe

Ingredients

• 5 to 8 drops food coloring, optional
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 3 tablespoons sugar
• SAUCE:
• ¹/₃ cup fat-free milk
• ¼ teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¹/₃ cup sugar
  • 1 can (14-½ ounces) pitted tart cherries
