  • 1 cup finely chopped bittersweet or semisweet chocolate
  • 1/3 cup amaretto
  • ¾ cup coarsely chopped sweet dark cherries (canned or frozen)
  • 1 ½ cups whipping cream
  • Semisweet chocolate shavings (see Notes)
  • ¾ cup raw slivered almonds, toasted (see Notes)
  • 2 ½ cups chilled Chocolate Crème Anglaise
