Chocolate Chip Meringues

Ingredients

¹/₈ teaspoon salt
½ cup semisweet chocolate minichips
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
3 large egg whites
¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa, divided
¾ cup sugar

Preheat oven to 250°. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper; secure with masking tape. Place egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt in a large bowl; beat with a mixer at high speed until foamy.
