Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped toasted hazelnuts (see notes)
  • ½ cup (1/4 lb.) butter, at room temperature
  • 1 ¼ cups semisweet chocolate chips (8 oz.)
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

    • 3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 3 large eggs
