Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • ¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (1/2 lb.) butter, at room temperature
  • Chocolate ganache (recipe follows)
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • About 1/3 cup turbinado sugar (see notes)
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • ½ teaspoon baking powder
