Chocolate Zucchini Muffins

Ingredients

• ½ cup(s) nuts (optional)
• 1 ½ teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
• 1 ¾ cup(s) shredded zucchini
• 2 medium eggs
• ¼ cup(s) sour milk (see TIP)
• ¹/₃ cup(s) cocoa powder
• ½ cup(s) vegetable shortening

  • 1 cup(s) white sugar
  • 2 ½ cup(s) all purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon(s) fresh nutmeg or 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon(s) ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon(s) baking soda
