Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 9 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ¾ cup dark brown sugar
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup whipping cream
  • ½ cup dark corn syrup
  • + 10 more ingredients
    • 1 large egg
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • ½ cup golden brown sugar
    • ¾ teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 3 pints chocolate or vanilla ice cream
    • ¼ cup sugar
    • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
    • 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips

Combine first 5 ingredients in heavy medium saucepan. Stir over low heat until both sugars dissolve.
