Chorizo Tomato Strata Recipe
Ingredients
- ½ pound uncooked chorizo
- 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Gruyere cheese, divided
- ¼ cup minced fresh cilantro
- 1 garlic clove, halved
- 1 loaf (½ pound) day-old French bread, cut into 1-inch slices
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- 8 eggs

- ¾ teaspoon pepper
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
