Cinnamon Buns

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 ¾ cup all-purpose flour (13 ounces)
  • ¼ cup sugar (1 ¾ ounces)
  • ¾ teaspoon fine salt (1/8 ounce)
  • ½ teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • + 12 more ingredients
    • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
    • ½ cup water
    • ½ cup whole milk
    • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast (¼ ounce package)
    • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted, plus more for the bowl
    • ¾ cups (1 ½ sticks) unsalted butter, very soft, plus more for coating the pan
    • 2/3 cups confectioners' sugar
    • 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
    • ¼ cup melted unsalted butter
    • 3 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
    • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
