Clam and Corn Chowder
Ingredients
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cups corn
- 1 pound boiling potatoes
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3 slices bacon
- 1 bunch scallions (5 or 6)

- 2 pounds small hard-shelled clams
Cook bacon in a 4- to 5-quart heavy pot over medium heat, stirring, until slightly browned but not crisp.
