Clam Chowder 12

Ingredients

  • 1 can(s) mushrooms, drained
  • 1 can(s) evaporated milk, add water to make 3 cups (12 ounce can)
  • 1 can(s) clams (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 can(s) cream of celery soup
  • 1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tablespoon(s) salt
  • 4 potatoes (medium)
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 1 cup(s) celery
    • 1 onion (large)
    • 6 slice(s) bacon

Fry bacon, drain, put aside. Sauté onion, celery and mushrooms in 3 T. bacon fat. Dice potatoes, add celery, onion ,mushrooms and salt; cover with water and cook until tender. Add soups, clams, milk and crumbled bacon. Heat in a crock pot until serving. The longer the better.
