Clam Chowder 3

Ingredients

  • 2 can(s) minced Clams (6 ½ ounce cans)
  • 1 cup(s) Onions, chopped fine
  • 1 cup(s) celery diced
  • 2 cup(s) Potatoes diced
  • ¾ cup(s) flour
  • ½ teaspoon(s) sugar
  • White Sauce
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • ¾ cup(s) Butter
    • 1 quart(s) half and half
    • 1 ½ teaspoon(s) salt
    • Pepper to taste

Drain juice from clams and pour juice over the vegetables with enough water to barely cover. Simmer until potatoes are tender (about 20 minutes). Make white sauce, add vegetables with clams and heat through. Heat DO NOT BOIL. Serves 8
