Clam Chowder 36

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon(s) pepper
  • 2 teaspoon(s) sugar
  • 2 tablespoon(s) salt
  • 4 quart(s) Half and Half
  • 3 cup(s) flour
  • 8 cup(s) Potatoes, finely chopped
  • 4 cup(s) Celery, finely chopped
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • 4 cup(s) Onions, finely chopped
    • 2 Chopped Clams (6 ounce )
    • 3 cup(s) butter

Boil onion, celery, and potatoes until fork tender. Set aside. In heavy dutch oven over medium heat, melt together butter and flour. Add half and half. Cook until thick. Add salt and pepper and sugar. Gradually add vegetable mixture, with water. Stir together, heat until warm. Serve.
