Claret Lemonade


  • ½ cup claret or other dry red wine
  • Lemon slices
  • Crushed ice
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 (28-ounce) bottle club soda, chilled
  • ½ cup sugar

Combine sugar, lemon juice, and wine in a large pitcher; stir until sugar dissolves. Stir in club soda; pour over crushed ice in serving glasses. Garnish with lemon slices, and serve.
