Cloverleaf Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs. vegetable oil
  • 1 lb. (3-½ cups) all-purpose flour
  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Pinch sugar
  • ¼ cup warm water (100° to 110°F)
  • 3 Tbs. butter, melted (for shaping)
  • + 6 more ingredients
    • 1 Tbs. milk
    • 6 Tbs. butter
    • ¾ cup milk
    • 1 egg, lightly beaten
    • ¼ cup sugar
    • 1 tsp. salt

Sprinkle the yeast over the warm water. Add a pinch of the sugar. Stir and let the mixture sit until it's foamy, about 5 min. (If the mixture doesn't foam, the yeast may be inactive.
