  • 3-3/8 oz. (1 cup plus 2 Tbs.) unsweetened natural cocoa powder
  • 10-½ oz. (1 cup plus 5 tablespoons) unsalted butter, slightly softened
  • 1-2/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 4-½ Tbs. whole milk
  • 1-½ tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 3/8 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/8 tsp. table salt
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 10 oz. (2-¼ cups) bleached all-purpose flour

In a food processor, combine the flour, cocoa, sugar, salt, and baking soda. Pulse several times to mix thoroughly. Cut the butter into about 12 chunks and add them to the bowl. Pulse several times.
