Ingredients

  • ¼ cup brown sugar or raw sugar
  • 1 ¾ cups heavy cream
  • 2/3 cup flaked sweetened coconut
  • 1 whole large egg
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 6 large egg yolks
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 1 ¾ cups milk

Preheat oven to 325°F. In a heavy saucepan heat cream, milk, and vanilla bean over moderately high heat until mixture just comes to a boil and remove from heat.
