Ingredients

  • 14 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla
  • pie weights or raw rice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

    • 6 tablespoons water
    • 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
    • ½ cup fresh coconut shavings or sweetened flaked coconut
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 15 tablespoons unsalted butter
