Cold Brine Slice Pickles or "3 day pickles"

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon(s) salt
  • 2 cup(s) vinegar
  • 2 cup(s) white sugar
  • Brine
  • 1 green pepper (large)
  • 1 onion (large)
  • 7 or more large cucumbers
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 1 tablespoon(s) celery seed

Slice and layer vegetables in a gallon jar or large glass bowl with a lid. Sprinkle Celery Seed over the vegetables. In another bowl, stir together sugar, vinegar and salt until the sugar dissolves.
