Cornmeal-Cookie Sundaes with Warm Fruit

Ingredients
- butter pecan ice cream
- ½ cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- ½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- ¾ teaspoon cinnamon

- 1 3 1/2- to 4-inch fluted round cookie cutter
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons bourbon
- ¾ teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 4 firm-ripe red plums
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 1 large egg
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- Confectioners sugar
- 3 firm-ripe nectarines
Beat together butter and sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer until pale and fluffy. Beat in egg, vanilla, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and cardamom.
