Cornmeal Pound Cake with Candied Cranberries and Vanilla Bean Cream

- 1 cup(s) cranberries, picked over
- 1 cup(s) cranberry juice
- 1 cup(s) yellow cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
- ½ teaspoon(s) Salt
- 1 vanilla bean, cut inch half and scraped

- 6 tablespoon(s) sour cream
- 5 eggs
- 1 ½ cup(s) granulated sugar
- 1 cup(s) light brown sugar
- ½ cup(s) butter, softened
Preheat over to 350°. Lightly oil a 10" cake pan. To prepare the cake, beat together the butter, 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1 cup light brown sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
