Crab Cakes with Red Chili Mayonnaise

Ingredients

  • ½ cup red onion
  • 2 tablespoons jalapeño chili
  • 5 cups fresh breadcrumbs made from crustless French bread
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup celery
  • ½ cup red bell pepper
  • + 4 more ingredients
    • 3 ½ teaspoons fresh lemon juice
    • 4 teaspoons chili-garlic sauce
    • 1 cup mayonnaise
    • 1 pound crabmeat

Mix mayonnaise, chili-garlic sauce, and 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice in small bowl. Cover and refrigerate chili mayonnaise. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in heavy medium skillet over medium-high heat.
