Cranberry-Fig Relish

Ingredients

  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 (12-ounce) package fresh cranberries
  • ½ cup dry red wine
  • 1 (12-ounce) package fresh cranberries
  • ¾ cup chopped dried figs
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • + 7 more ingredients
    • 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 4 oranges)

    • ½ cup dry red wine
    • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
    • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
    • 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 4 oranges)

Combine the first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes. Add sugars and cranberries. Cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until mixture is slightly thick and berries pop, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly. Stir in pecans. Cover and chill.
