Cranberry, Onion, and Apricot Confit


  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 pounds onions
  • ½ cup chopped dried apricots
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • 2 cups cranberries
    • ½ cup red-wine vinegar
