Cream of Corn Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons bacon bits
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 (16 ounce) can cream-style corn
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • + 2 more ingredients
    • ¼ teaspoon pepper
    • ¼ teaspoon celery salt

1 In a small skillet, melt butter and saute the chopped onion until tender but not brown. 2 Stir in the flour; add the milk, cooking and stirring constantly, for 3 minutes or until smooth and thick. 3 Stir in corn and bring almost to a boil. 4 Add the seasonings and bacon bits.
