Creamed Corn 10

Ingredients

  • ½ teaspoon(s) pepper
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt (to taste)
  • 1/3 cup(s) butter (not margarine)
  • 1 tablespoon(s) sugar (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon(s) corn starch
  • 1 carton whipping cream - reserve ¼ cup. (½ pint carton)
  • 1 ounce(s) pkg. frozen corn

Cook corn in a small amount of water. Add butter, salt, pepper, and cream (except for reserved 1/4 cup). Bring to a boil. Reduce Heat. Mix rest of cream with corn starch until smooth. Add to corn mixture. Heat until thick, add sugar. Stir and serve. Add a little milk if you sauce is too thick.
