Creamy Baked Sweet Onions

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups (6 oz.) shredded sharp white Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 (10-oz.) packages cipolline or boiler onions, unpeeled*
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • + 3 more ingredients
    • ¼ teaspoon salt
    • 1 tablespoon melted butter
    • ¼ cup crushed round buttery crackers
