Creamy Lime Sherbet

Ingredients

  • 1 ¼ cups sugar
  • 1 (6 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
  • Dash salt
  • 1 quart milk
  • 1 pint half-and-half cream
  • 1 (3 ounce) package lime gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • + 1 more ingredients
    • 8 drops green food coloring (optional)

1. In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in water. Add sugar, limeade and salt; mix until sugar is dissolved. Add remaining ingredients; blend well. Freeze in an ice cream freezer according to manufacturer's directions.
