  • 4 cups dried macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 ½ cups 1% milk
  • 1 teaspoon dry ground mustard
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 8 ounces extra sharp cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
